Ladies and gentlemen,

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 29th Scientific Conference of Hellenic Medical Students & 17th International Forum of Medical Students and Junior Doctors, which this year is to be held on May 5-7, 2023, at the Astir Egnatia Hotel, in Alexandroupolis.

Following a highly successful SCHMS organized by the Chapter of Athens of the SSHMS, after 18 years the Chapter of Alexandroupolis has undertaken the organization of the largest medical students’ conference which is an institution for the medical students’ community.

The previous SCHMSs have set the bar particularly high and we aim to meet the high expectations that accompany this particular conference.

Aiming in this direction, we will work so that in the 29th SCHMS & 17th International Forum we will expand the thematology, cooperate with distinguished scientists from abroad and also with groups of students from the Medical Schools and other Schools of Health Sciences in Greece and abroad so as for the conference to become a place of fruitful exchange of ideas and interdisciplinary discussion. Of course, our aim is to strengthen the workshops which are an integral part of the conference as well as the Medical Olympics, while Live Surgeries could not be omitted from the scientific program.

Taking into consideration that the conference has only been held twice in the past in the city of Alexandroupolis, our excitement and eagerness to organize and host this great student medical event is unmatched.

With the promise to make every possible effort so that the 29th SCHMA & 17th International Forum will be a unique-three-day experience of transmission of medical knowledge, exchange of thoughts, broadening of the intellectual horizons and reflection, we look forward to welcoming you on May 5-7, 2023 in Alexandroupolis.
